Make a commitment today to do something you’ve always believed you couldn’t do. It doesn’t matter that you’ve thought you just don’t have the time or I’m too busy, I don’t have the talent or the wherewithal… It does not matter!

Make it your goal. You can if you think you can. There is no room for doubt. Commit yourself to whatever you choose as a goal and do it, then prepare yourself to be amazed and royally blessed.

The Universe responds quickly once we move our minds from a place of CAN’T to CAN. Until tomorrow,

I have come to the realization that I won’t be joining SAG or AFTRA after all. I thought that would be one of my goals to reach, but the reality is that perhaps it’s not for me, especially at present.

I was way out of balance yesterday after being told that I was booked for an episode of ER, and then later informed that I had been cut from the list. Knowing that I create all things that occur in my life experience, it became clear to me why this occurred for me. See, I recall that I had negative comments about my Call-In service that booked me for TV shows and movies, and voiced them… What goes around comes around, Karma… After taking full responsibility for this, I released it and surrendered it and immediately felt much better and chalked it up as “lesson learned.”

I did get an interview with CBS for an upcoming show for next week! I should adhere to the Universal Law of Science about that. But you know how we (humans) are, ego and all that…

A way to heal oneself beginds with a spiritual exercise. At bedtime, sing an ancient name for God, HU (or pray, chant or meditate) for five to ten minutes.

A spiritual exercise promotes movement of the inner consciousness and is simply to open a channel between yourself and Divine spirit.

When you begin practicing the exercises, Divine Spirit enters and you become more independent, thoughtful, self-motivated. It will allow you, if you allow IT, to move toward taking that first step toward discipline and self-mastery.

Haters-Inspiration for Today 01.17.10

Who are you, really? Are you a person with a golden heart, filled with love and likes to see something that he starts completed and done well? Or, are you a hater?

“A hater is someone who is jealous and envious and spends all their
time trying to make you look small so they can look tall. They are very negative people to say the least. Nothing is ever good enough!

When you make your mark, you will always attract some haters…

That’s why you have to be careful with whom you share your
blessings and your dreams, because some folk can’t handle seeing
you blessed…

It’s dangerous to be like somebody else… If God wanted you to be
like somebody else, He would have given you what He gave them! Right?

You never know what people have gone through to get what they
have…

The problem I have with haters is that they see my glory, but they
don’t know my story….

If the grass looks greener on the other side of the fence, you can
can rest assured that the water bill is higher there too!

We’ve all got some haters among us!

Some people envy you because you can:

a) Have a relationship with God

b) Light up a room when you walk in

c) Start your own business

d) Tell a man/woman to hit the curb
(if he/she isn’t about the right
thing)

e) Raise your children without both
parents in the home

Haters can’t stand to see you happy.

Haters will never want to see you succeed.

Most of our haters are people who are supposed to be on our side.

How do you handle your undercover haters? You can handle these haters by:

1. Knowing who you are & who your
friends are *(VERY IMPORTANT!!)

2. Having a purpose to your life:

Purpose does not
mean having a job. You can have
a have a job and still be unfilled.
unfulfilled.

A purpose is having a clear sense of what God has called you to be.
Your purpose is not defined by what others think about you.

3. By remembering what you have is by divine prerogative and not human manipulation.

Fulfill your dreams! You only have one life to live…when it’s your
time to leave this earth, you want to be able to say, ‘I’ve lived my
life and fulfilled my dreams, Now I’m ready to go HOME!

When God gives you favor, you can tell your haters, ‘Don’t look at
me…Look at who is in charge of me…’

Pass this to all of your family & friends who you know are
not hating on you including the person who sent it to you.

If you don’t get it back, maybe you called somebody out!

Don’t worry about it, it’s not your problem, it’s theirs.

Just pray for them, that their life can be as fulfilled as yours! Watch out for Haters…BUT most of all don’t become
a HATER!

Knowing the qualities of God and practicing those qualities in our journey of life everyday, namely love. Being aware of the levels of love, acting from a position of love, be it charitable love or the love we have for our family and partners, spouses…

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE FOR TODAY:
Whenever you’re not sure of what to do, what to say or how to act, ask yourself: What would love do?

Even when we don’t love God, God loves us. God shows this love constantly through Divine Spirit.

EXERCISE: Begin your day with love, give love, even in a small way; think only loving thoughts before making the “usual comment,” you know, when people say something mean or negative…“I always say that when I’m…” and if your consciousness or you experience change in any way, in your life, I would love to hear about it.

The Law of the Seed

Take a look at an apple tree. There might be five hundred apples on the tree, but each apple has just ten seeds. That’s a lot of seeds!

We might ask, “Why would you need so many seeds to grow just a few more apple trees?”

Nature has something to teach us here. It’s telling us: “Not all seeds grow. In life, most seeds never grow. So, if you really want to make something happen, you had better try more than once.

This might mean: You’ll attend twenty interviews to get one job. You’ll interview forty people to find one good employee. You’ll talk to fifty people to sell one house, one ca r, one vacuum cleaner, one insurance policy, or a business idea. And, you might meet a hundred acquaintances just to find one special friend.

When we understand The Law of the Seed, we don’t get so disappointed. We stop feeling like victims. We learn how to deal with things that happen to us. Laws of nature are not things to take personally. We just need to understand them–and work with them.

In a nutshell, successful people fail more often. But they plant more seeds.

When things are beyond your control, here is something that you must not do so as to be happy: You must not decide how you think the world should be. You must not make rules for how everyone should behave. Many times, such thoughts can bring you spiraling down into more unhappiness.

On the other hand, let’s say you expect that:
• Friends should return favors.
• People should return favors.
• Plans should arrive on time.
• Everyone should be honest.
• Your mate or best friend should
emember your birthday

These expectations may sound reasonable, but often these things won’t happen, and so you end up frustrated and disappointed.

Here is a better strategy: Demand less, and instead, have preferences. For things that are beyond your control, tell yourself “I would prefer A, but if B happens, that’s okay too.” You would prefer that people are polite, but when they are rude, it doesn’t ruin your day. You prefer rain, but if it rains, that’s okay too.

To become happier, we either need to, change the world or change our thinking. It is easier by far (sic) to change our thinking.

Remember (sic), it’s not the problem or challenge (sic) that is the issue, but rather it is your attitude to the problem that is the problem. It’s not what happens to you that determine your happiness, but rather how you think about what happens to you.”

Change your attitude, change your life! In my soon to be released handbook, “The Can Do Handbook,” you will find out how a change of attitude transformed my life.

One principle is, when faced with life’s challenges, or “problems,” to ask: Why is this happening for me? For far too many years, when faced with problems, my mantra was, “Why me? Why is this happening to me…I’m a good person, yadda yadda yadda…?” You know what I’m talkin’ ‘bout ! Another is to look for the lesson in any situation, and taking full responsibility for everything, the so-called good and the so-called bad things that come to you.

Joy and Sorrow Chapter VIII

“Then a woman said, “Speak to us of joy and sorrow.” And he answered: Your joy is your sorrow unmasked. And the self-shame well from which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears. And how can this be?

The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain. Is not the cup that hold your wine the very cup that was burned in the potter’s oven? And is not the lute that soothes your spirit, the very wood that was hollowed with knives?

When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy. When you are sorrowful look again in your heart and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.

Some of you say, ‘Joy is greater than any sorrow,’ and other say, ‘Nay , sorrow is the greater.’ But I say unto you, they are inseparable.

Together they come, and when one sit alone with you at your board, rememer that the o ther is asleep upon your bed. Verifly you are suspended like scales between your sorrow and your joy.

Only when you are empty are you at a standstill and balanced. When the treasurer-keeper liffs you to weigh his gold and his silver, needs must your joy or your sorrow rise or fall.”

I was drawn to the Prophet’s words because in my sorrow I also have joy of being still in love with my husband, who is now in many ways, my child. Having never had to raise a child or love a child of my own, I have both now. When my sorrow seems too much to bear, I take joy in giving love and care as one would to a child and a husband, a lover, a friend, and sometimes, a stranger.

I’m walking in a sea of experiences every moment of my life; I’m walking around in this sea of life and finding miracles every day, especially when I’m present and living in the moment.
